Cricket Betting at okay baji — bet on every match from BPL to the T20 World Cup
Get the full betting experience on Bangladesh's most popular sport at okay baji. Across all three formats — T20, ODI and Test — multiple markets are available, from match winner to live in-play.
Cricket's three formats and major tournaments
T20 — the fastest format
Just 20 overs of cricket. Every ball matters, so markets change quickly. BPL and IPL see the highest betting volume in this format. Betting continues from the toss right through to the final over.
ODI — the fifty-over contest
This 50-over format requires both strategy and stamina. ODI matches are played at the ICC World Cup and bilateral series. Because the game can turn around significantly in the middle, there is plenty of tension in the markets.
Test — the real test of cricket
In this five-day format, weather, pitch and wicket conditions make betting genuinely complex. Because a draw is a possible result, the markets are different from ODI or T20.
Sports beyond cricket
Cricket is the main sport at okay baji, but football betting is also quite popular. A cricket match can run for several hours or several days, so live betting markets stay open longer. A football match lasts just 90 minutes, but more events happen in less time, so odds change faster. Markets are also available for tennis, kabaddi and other sports. Understanding the rhythm of each sport is the starting point for better betting.
In cricket, run rate and wicket position drive the markets, while in football the number of goals and ball possession influence the odds. That is why the same approach does not work when betting on both sports.
What are the popular betting markets in cricket?
Multiple markets are open for every match. Below are the seven most commonly used markets explained.
Match Winner
Which of the two teams will win — this is the most straightforward market. Example: you pick Team A in a match between Team A and Team B. If Team A wins, your bet succeeds; if not, your stake is lost.
Toss Winner
A bet on which team will win the toss before the match starts. The outcome is entirely luck-based, but many people like it because the toss matters on certain pitch conditions.
Top Batsman
A bet on who will score the most runs within a team. Example: you pick a specific batter from Team A — if that player scores the highest, you win the bet.
Total Runs Over/Under
Whether the runs scored in an innings or the full match will be above (over) or below (under) a set line. Example: the market sets total runs at over 160 — you pick over and 168 runs are scored, so you win.
First Wicket Partnership
Whether the opening partnership will add more or fewer runs than a set line. This market is quite attractive on batting pitches.
Wickets Market
A bet on how many wickets will fall within a specific powerplay or set of overs. On bowling-friendly pitches this market shifts quite a lot.
Multi Bet (multiple selections combined)
Adding multiple matches or markets into a single bet. At okay baji Bet, the odds of each selection in a multi bet are multiplied together, increasing the potential return — but if one selection is wrong, the entire bet is lost. Example: Team A, Team B and Team A across three separate matches — if all three are correct, you receive the full multi bet payout.
Decimal, fractional and American odds in one place
Odds are the price of a bet. At okay baji, odds are displayed in three formats — decimal, fractional and American. The same odds on the same match may be written as three different numbers, but they mean the same thing.

| Format | Odds | Return |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 3.00 | ৳3,000 (profit ৳2,000) |
| Fractional | 2/1 | ৳3,000 (profit ৳2,000) |
| American | +200 | ৳3,000 (profit ৳2,000) |
If the bet wins, ৳3,000 is returned (৳2,000 profit + ৳1,000 original stake); if it loses, ৳1,000 is gone.
| Format | Odds | Return |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 1.25 | ৳1,250 (profit ৳250) |
| Fractional | 1/4 | ৳1,250 (profit ৳250) |
| American | -400 | ৳1,250 (profit ৳250) |
American minus odds (-400) mean you need to stake ৳400 to make ৳100 profit. Because the favourite's odds are lower, the return is also lower.
Things to remember about odds
- Decimal odds are the simplest — multiply directly to get the total return.
- In fractional odds, the numerator is the profit and the denominator is the stake.
- American plus (+) means underdog, minus (-) means favourite.
- Higher odds mean a lower chance of winning, but you get more if you do win.
Live In-Play — how betting works during a match
After a match starts, markets do not close — instead odds keep changing with every ball. In T20, if three wickets fall in the powerplay, the odds on that team winning will rise immediately. Conversely, if a batter hits a big six, the odds may shorten.
Certain things have a particular effect on in-play betting:
- Wicket falls — when the pressure of chasing runs increases, odds change quickly.
- Overs remaining — if more runs are needed in fewer overs, the underdog's odds shorten.
- Run rate comparison — a large gap between the current run rate and the required run rate.
- Weather or Duckworth-Lewis situations — rain in an ODI or Test also shifts odds.
Live betting is a game of quick decisions. When odds are changing fast, take a moment before placing a bet — this is purely for entertainment, and rushing makes it hard to keep a clear head. Read the responsible gaming policy and play within your limits.
Practical advice for beginners
Understand the format before picking a market
A lot can change in the last five overs of a T20. In Test cricket the pitch breaks up on the fifth day. Knowing the format makes it clearer which market to choose.
Set a budget and stick to it
Betting is for entertainment — not a way to earn money. Decide in advance how much you will put in each week or each match. Never go beyond the limit you set.
Compare odds
Before placing a bet, take a quick look at the odds in the match winner market for the same match. Higher odds mean higher risk — it is better not to place a risky bet just because of the temptation of a big return.
Use multi bets with care
A multi bet offers a higher potential return, but one wrong selection means losing everything. Start with just two selections; do not chain too many selections together at once.
Do not try to recover losses by placing a big bet after a loss
After losing several bets in a row, it can feel like putting more money on the next one will win it all back — that thinking is wrong. Betting is always for fun, not a tool for recovering losses.
Responsible betting checklist
- Set a weekly budget
- Bet for entertainment
- Do not try to recover losses
- Confirm you are 21+
